live shows are being documented more than ever before.

both concerts and festivals are increasingly being filmed professionally to be streamed on platforms like youtube and hulu

at the same time, some audience members go live on their instagram and tiktok pages to make the show available to their followers

a lot of us record moments throughout the show and select a few to share with their friends on their instagram or snapchat story.

here you can see the difference in the crowd for charli xcx's set in 2019 vs 2026:

clearly, concert goers are missing the experience these days in favor of documenting their experience.

ep allows you to re-live memories from live shows you attended in a more meaningful way. it is a place to hold what a show felt like for you personally.

you log a show and hold it however you want using the tools ep offers.

it could be a sentence or a doodle,
a setlist with notes in the margins,
a description of the view from your spot,
a photo of the confetti or your ticket,
a note to a friend you made in line.

there are no star ratings and no leaderboards. there are no right or wrong ways to log your experience.

ep will also connect with tools like setlist.fm and a view from my seat, so you can pull in the setlist or the seat view and add your own memory to it.

some artists like phoebe bridgers, bob dylan, and paul mccartney have banned phones at their show recently. fans have gotten inventive about sharing the night anyway. that kind of memory-keeping is what ep is after.

by all means! writing something down is the best way to preserve memory, even if you never read it back. ep isn't trying to replace that.

what ep adds is a home to hold all of it in one place. where you can view your shows by date, venue, and view personal stats.

ep is in it's early stages of being built. if this method of memory-keeping interests you, feel free to begin using whatever means work for you. it could be a notebook, google doc, instagram page etc.
